Outdoor Family Photoshoot in Saffron Walden, Essex

Once we come out of winter and head in to the warmer days of Spring, outdoor family photoshoot’s in the beautiful Essex countryside become more popular.

But it’s not without lots of contemplation. Before booking a photoshoot parents have that age old question: Are my children going to behave and smile? Will it be worth it, what if one decides to have a tantrum?

A well behaved child means different things to everyone, none more so than parents vs a photographer who wants to hype children up and run around whilst belly laughing before bed time! Having a fun, and adventurous outdoor photoshoot means that children are encouraged to be wild and express themselves by giving us the gritty and raw sides of their personality.

We play games, smell flowers and even hunt for bugs and its through these short and simple acts that the magical ‘inbetween’ moments happen. Mum and dad often watch naturally smiling as the children play having their own moment with no forced posing.

Saffron Walden in Essex has more than a few beautiful locations for outdoor photoshoots. Audley End Park full of ancient trees hills and wild meadows is one of my favourite spots and where i also do Woodland Cake Smash photoshoots as its such a diverse location giving you so much variety in your gallery of images. Saffron Walden also has quiet Daisy Meadows, Bridge End Gardens for more formal photoshoots and nearby Bluebell woods for Early Spring sessions. Lets not forget the abundance of coffee shops and independent chocolate, book and gift shops that you might as well visit whilst in the town.
